Research Interests:

  • development of high resolution soft x-ray holographic microscopy and diffraction tomography and application to life-science problems
  • X-ray phase and amplitude tomography by conventional projection and by zone-plate microscopy
  • x-ray micro-focusing using elliptical mirrors and zone plates
  • x-ray sources and optical systems for synchrotron-radiation beam lines
  • x-ray mirror technology: adaptive optics, cooled optics and associated materials-engineering problems
  • optomechanics and fine mechanisms for x-ray-optical applications
